The Association fulfills its social objective :

• By promoting, inspiring or supporting all actions destined to assure or facilitate the use of the basilica and the works of art that make up its decor, in conformity with their original spiritual destination.
• By its participation and the interest shone in the maintenance projects at hand or of highest importance, and in the restoration projects necessary for the preservation of the basilica.
• By participating in informing the public of the history, artistic interest, cultural and religious objectives of both buildings and works of art.
• By inspiring and supporting all actions destined to assure the recognition of the exceptional value of this patrimony by the authorities whether national or international.
• By acting legally, if need be, to ensure the respect and protection of the interests it supports.

 

For this :

• The Association will approach the greatest number of personalities to sensitize them to the importance of the interests it seeks to promote (see chapter 7, last paragraph.)
• The Association will collect all the funds received, be they within the framework of corporate charities, endowments or personal gifts, upon condition that they be used towards the accomplishment of its social objective.
• The Association will maintain a reception area gift shop inside the Basilica with the understanding that all eventual profits be used to achieve its social objective.
